My thoughts on the recently-released (in North America, anyway) anime movie "Sword of the Stranger". The Canadian Premiere was at Anime North this year and it was the biggest video at the show. Should you see it though? Is it Samurai bliss or is should you, like a Ronin, wander on by? Watch the review to find out!

Afterthoughts:
In retrospect, I did want to make sure to mention that this is still a good book, I merely wanted to point out some of the flaws it had. It is not as exciting as some of his other works but is both highly informative and worth picking up. Also, the themes (I do realize) are a continuation of the themes in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, as this takes place chronologically after that novel. Also, this book contains many of the famous Hunter stories that are often related to describe the person- much silliness and slyness abound- such as the Ibogaine rumor, so this is still a must-read for true fans. Lastly, I wanted to mention the dramatic aspects of the novel I failed to mention in the review, such as a Vietnam-vet march, which is described in tremendously effecting detail by the author. These are, like the digressions and side stories, spread sporadically throughout the book-which also adds to the value of the book.")

My thoughts on the 2009 comedy based off of Tucker Maxs best-selling book of the same name. Do you not know about the book or movie? I wouldnt be surprised. The movie is only in limited release so its likely not playing near you (or at least not advertised). Do you hate Tucker Max and want to see me RIP HIM A NEW ONE? Or do you want to know if all the (endless) bad press is true? Watch my review and find out.

My thoughts on the original movie about a giant, fire-breathing/eating, flying turtle (brought to North America in a fantastic DVD release by Shout! Factory). Does this kaijua classic stand the test of time? Should you, as a non-believer, seek this film out? Watch my review and find out! Make sure to stay tuned for my review of the first sequel, Gamera vs. Barugon, in which Gamera fights (I shit you not) a lizard that uses rainbows as a destructive power.
