Carbide 3D | Switching from Easel to Carbide Create @carbide3d | Uploaded 4 years ago | Updated 3 hours ago
Free and easy options for creating designs and generating toolpaths are an important resource for people getting started with CNC, or even for people continuing to use their machine as part of their business. If you’re looking to try Carbide Create, but are coming from a different 2D drawing and toolpathing program like Easel, here’s what you need to know.
Download Carbide Create here: carbide3d.com/carbidecreate
Some key differences between Carbide Create and Easel:
- Carbide Create works entirely offline, you don't need a network connection to use it.
- There’s no upcharge for using your own fonts in designs. All system fonts are available to use and you can import your own.
- V-Carving is included by default.
- Create custom toolpaths with multiple endmills. We don’t do “two-stage carves” around here, we do infinite-stage milling.
- You can manage each toolpath's speeds and feeds independently.
