The late, great Archer Maclean created some class games over the years and one of my favorites from back in the day was his homage to Defender, the classic DropZone! It's 40 years since the game was released on the C64 and to celebrate this tribute to it was released recently. Controls have been optimized for precision on today's hardware, the 'Full Original Retro Mode' allows players to instantly switch back to the authentic graphics and sound of 1984 in real time. The game plays great and feels like the og release, great fun and some nice nostalgia, here's a quick look....
