I've been feeling some nostalgia recently, so here's another remake level. I was intrigued when I initially discovered this level but I have to admit I found it quite odd. Twisted Tranquility no doubt has a special place to me, as it was one of my very first extremes back over 5 and a half years ago, and it was a pretty decent experience for that time. Apart from the quirky gameplay though, there isn't much that stands out about it. It just screams an early 2.1 mess. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised about this remake. It's not one of my favorite levels, but for what it's meant to be, it's pretty close to perfect. It nails the vibe of the original in having those wacky and, lets face it, ugly visuals while making it look much cleaner and fresh. Same story with most of the gameplay. It's just as quirky as the original level while being a more consistent and properly balanced experience. The only thing really missing is an infamous 1% jump, but I'm more than fine doing without that. Again not an amazing level, but it's so well executed at its job that I have to respect it. If you like Twisted Tranquility, you're gonna love this. If not, I would still suggest giving it a try. Just be sure you can actually remember the level from 0, because boy did I throw so stupidly a handful of times pretty far on this, heh.
