mhpgardener | Sweet Corn Harvest & Why I Don't do "How to Can" Videos @mhpgardener | Uploaded July 2013 | Updated October 2024, 1 week ago.
This is my second year growing Peaches n Cream sweet corn. And again, it did extremely well. We had enough to put some cream corn in the freezer, along with some whole ears for corn-on-the-cob later on. We also had about 45 pints of whole kernel corn.
I get asked quite often about doing some canning videos. In my opinion, canning is serious business. If you do it wrong, you can mess up a lot of your hard work, or maybe even get sick. I don't feel qualified to teach anyone about canning.
But I can recommend someone that is truly an expert, a lady named "imstillworkin".
This is her YT channel : youtube.com/user/imstillworkin
If you are looking for advice on canning, she is a wealth of knowledge. She will show you exactly HOW to can just about anything, and will also explain WHY you need to do it that way. By following her instructions, you should have no problems at all with canning. And if you'd like to make some corn cob jelly, here's how:
