Hello! This was my live playthrough of Sweet Bubblegum by Crossbonnie and ZennyTheZtarBones and Snowlight Cliffs by ZennyTheZtarBones
First half of this hack: youtube.com/watch?v=-buMVC-L8FE
Review: I'm gonna break this down level by level because I have a lot to say about this hack.
Course 9 / Snowlight Cliffs:
This level is probably one of cryo's best. I enjoyed all stars and even the red coin star despite choking it a bunch. There are a little bit of invisible walls and collision problems but it is still a great level.
Course 12:
This level was fairly easy aside from reds. On a beta build, cryo had placed a coin that required a 1-2 frame jump dive and it drove me insane when i tested it. I only managed to get it once in a hour span. Luckily, cryo nerfed it and made the star A LOT better.
Course 3:
This level was also pretty easy. No real complaints aside from the song port this level had. It was WAY too loud and just not very enjoyable to listen to.
Course 11:
Pretty easy sphere. I don't think it should of been in zone 3 though. it should of been a zone 1 or 2 level. I did choke reds a few times bc i kept trying to go fast and it made it take longer than it should of. I also thought the song port was way too quiet here. (guy who hates everything)
ZZ:
Another cryo banger. Port was amazing and level was a bit challenging.
Bowser 2 / Key 2:
I think the main level was fine. I didn't really struggle with any stars there but the key fight was kind of a different story. It felt like a quality dip because some textures near the end were quicksand and others weren't and had invisible walls on random jumps. (and also no respawning shells on 1.0 but fixed since playing)
Course 13:
This was probably the best cross level in the hack. I really liked this one even if i cheesed most of the painful stars. (i did the paths normally with states) I liked the music and level design.
Vanish Cap:
This level is probably the hardest zone 1 level by FAR. This level has so many invisible walls in the spawn and then so much deathplanes spam afterwards that it made playing it feel like a chore. I really didn't like this one.
Course 10:
This level is EASILY the worst level of the whole hack. The amount of invisible walls and deathplanes this level has is fucking ABYSMAL. Reds was my personalized hell with the amount of invisible wall chokes. i had 3 11/11's to the ending because invisible walls or roof ledge grabs.
Course 8:
I feel like i judged this level too harsh when cross first showed me it because I actually liked it playing it stateless. I still really didn't like the required firstie star but found cheese to make it less annoying at the end. The first red during reds was such a pain to get a attempt started, going back after getting the coin was way too tight.
Final Encore:
This level was fine but I struggled on reds for 2 hours before I just used the wing cap and got it that way.
