This documentary is part of the Alberta Cultural Heritage Film Series from Kurt W. Palka Productions, commissioned by the Alberta Culture Ministry in 1977. It focus on the history of the Swedes in Alberta, portraits of contemporary life, and how the group acclimates to life in Alberta. The documentary also features interviews, scenes of cultural practices and traditions, and contemporary footage of day-to-day life.
