More than 99% of all household waste is recycled. This means that Sweden has gone through something of a recycling revolution in the last decades, considering that only 35% of household waste was recycled in 1975.
To keep the nature clean, Swedes are even prepare to pay more tax. To recycle and keeping the city clean, is one of the most expensive tasks for the tax payer in Sweden.

This a a very expensive process. All those green recycling boxes costs, to empty the trashes,, the truck, fule, driver, property under the boxes, etc. . . everything costs! And there are several thousands of these recycling stations around the city.
