In this video, I do a swatch of gouache paints from the Stoneground Paint Co, a paint company based in Regina, Sk, Canada. My palette is on "Arches" cold press watercolour paper, 140lb, mounted (glued) to a wood palette by Mont Marte (from Homesense, Canada). I also discuss my recent inspiration from youtube artist, Denise Love (@2lilowlsstudio ). Her channel is fantastic, and you will want to consider her classes on Skillshare if you enjoy her teaching. I show you my recent "studies" on mini paper, inspired by her class on G.Klimt's work. See below for details.
I use 90 to 98 lb Canson XL watercolour paper to make my little marks and clean my brush off on this as to create a new future background for a painting. In this , I used a larger piece of paper in a coil notebook, from Michael's Canada: Artist Loft, 140lb , 11x 14" Mixed Media paper.
