S&W released the TRR8 as a tactical revolver for mil/leo/hunting application - optics rail, light rail, 8 shots...but they also released this 2" version, lightweight and Scandium, as a carry gun. Did it make sense then? What about now?

The S&W 327 revolver came out a few years before the introduction of the 327 Federal Magnum cartridge.
