In Lower Saxony, a forester shows how sustainable forestry and modern mobile sawmilling go hand in hand. On around 6 hectares of mainly pine forest, he produces high-quality construction and structural timber directly where the trees grow.
After completing his forestry training, he began processing wood from his own forest. He started with a Wood-Mizer LX50 and later upgraded to the LT20START with full hydraulics. The hydraulic functions make log handling faster, easier, and ideal for efficient one-man operation.
He cuts timber to custom sizes and produces tables, benches, chairs, fences, and hunting stands. By sawing his own logs, he keeps full control over wood quality, dimensions, and species – from the standing tree to the finished product.
