Susan Atkins was a member of the infamous Manson Family, a cult led by Charles Manson in the late 1960s. She was involved in the murders of actress Sharon Tate and several others in 1969. Atkins was eventually arrested and convicted for her role in the crimes and spent the rest of her life in prison until her death in 2009.
