ICEPLATE® vs. Death Valley: Real-World Cooling Test in 120°F+ Heat
We took ICEPLATE® and ICEFLASK™ to one of the hottest places on Earth—Death Valley, CA—in the middle of July to answer your most common questions and show, not just tell, how our IceAge Ecosystem performs in extreme conditions.
Wearing two ICEPLATE®s and one ICEFLASK™ in full sun, we tracked the surface temperature of the front-mounted ICEPLATE® using a FLIR thermal camera. Starting at 39°F out of the freezer, it reached just 65°F after 90 minutes of exposure—remaining well below skin temperature and continuously drawing heat from the body.
This wasn’t a lab test. It was a real-world field demo in one of the most thermally hostile environments in North America. The result? Consistent conductive cooling, slowed heat gain, and sustained hydration across multiple contact points—delivering exactly what our system is designed for: operational performance under thermal stress.
