In this video I test a tampon as a fire starter or tinder and compare it with fire tablets which i carry in my survival kit and share the result and my opinion about this test.
There maybe some First Aid application but for that i carry my First Aid Kit separated.
Please notice that i'm talking about a Survival Kit and not a First Aid Kit. Some may use a Tampon for First Aid application and if you have nothing else to treat a injury it may be very helpful if we keep in mind that's not sterile! In my opinion its a must to carry a First Aid Kit for any outdoor activity.
And of course it's also depending on how you create your Survival Kit, is it a combination of both, First Aid and Survival or not. I prefer to have both separate.
