Introducing Surroundings.
In this new series with Crack Magazine, we follow three artists as they create new music from the sounds of their cities. We start off in London where Flava D uses sounds from Lewisham market, vocals from a busker and sounds of the DLR in a high-impact club-ready banger.
Using the MV88 microphone and the Shure Plus MOTIV app, she explores her local area – collecting sounds and talking at length about the ways in which the places she’s lived have shaped her musical and creative worldview.
