There are plenty of old, low-cost GPUs available for less than £50/$50. Some simply aren't worth buying anymore because they don't have new drivers, lack modern DX12 support or don't have enough VRAM.
The card I found recently ticks a couple of those unfortunate boxes, and yet it still managed to play most of my games with respectable frame rates!
This is the AMD Radeon R9 380X, a mid range card from 2015 that is somehow still kicking...
Test Specs:
Intel Core i5 12400F
32GB 3200MHz DDR4
Gigabyte R9 380X G1 Gaming
The video that helped me with older driver workaround:

2:04 ARC Raiders
3:05 Cyberpunk 2077
4:16 Fortnite
5:25 Battlefield 6 and Fix
6:43 Counter-Strike 2
7:24 Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
8:11 Red Dead Redemption 2
9:11 Hollow Knight Silksong
9:42 GTA 5 Legacy
10:36 Apex Legends
