I recently did a 3-day refresher course on my seaplane rating and the big differences versus flying land planes are very top of mind for me. I wanted to share them here in case it's something you're looking to do one day! I was flying with TacAero, an elite flight school in the Texas Hill Country. I did backcountry training with them a while ago, but they also just opened up a seaplane program that can be completed in about 3 days. I got to fly with them in their Top Cub on amphibious floats and see where they are doing their training, and it absolutely blew my mind how much fun we had. You wouldn't normally think of Texas as the place to get your seaplane rating, but after this video, hopefully your mind is changed.
