Jeff and I getting out for a cold weather tour up through Surprise Pass. A nice little jaunt up to Saddle Mountain, around Mount Fairview and with Mount Temple towering over us. I was struck by how difficult it looked to get out of the valley until you turned the last corner to see the col that head up to Surprise Pass.
