Cake is awesome! Surfing is awesome! Why not combine them? Some of the video is at Cox Bay beach, on Vancouver Island near Tofino, BC and Pacific Rim National Park (which includes Long Beach). Other live locations on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, include Swan Lake and Panama Flats in Saanich and Thetis Lake in View Royal.
Produced using Photoshop 7 (including the ray-trace animations), Adobe Premiere Elements 2024, Microsoft Photos Legacy, and some text/image to video programs. Use of text/image to video software means that no real cakes were wasted in the production of this video. Further, it means that no giraffes, elephants, zebras, octopuses, elephant seals, sea lions, mountain goats, Koala bears, otters, blue-footed puffins, lizard men, sea serpents, lake serpents, or Loch Ness Monsters were hurt, endangered, or harassed in the production of this video. Further, money and huge amounts of airplane fuel was saved by me not needing to film on location in Western Africa, Northern Australia, Hawaii, Toronto, Baffin Island, China, Japan, India, the Galapagos Islands, northern Quebec, Brazil, Banff, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Tristan da Cunha, Atlantis, Scotland, or Dave's house.
The lyrics to "Surfing With a Cake" were written by Karl Johanson, who utilized some digital technology to produce the song. Salute and respect to artists who don't need any variety of digital help to output what's in their head.
One thing that I have long known
is that you shouldn’t surf alone.

Came out of the water looking looking like a Smurf.

As now my cake is wet and and salty.
I don't feel like a flake
