Louisiana v. Callais (and Robinson v. Callais) are cases involving Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 regarding racial gerrymandering.
At issue here are the 6th and 2nd Districts (majority Black) and the intent of Louisiana's State Legislature to redistrict the state and allow for only 1 majority Black district. After multiple lawsuits, a group of "non African-American" voters challenged claiming that being forced to draw majority Black districts is illegal as it violates the Fourteenth and/or Fifteenth Amendments to the U. S. Constitution.
Well, SCOTUS sided with Louisana, HOLY COW are the results going to be HUGE
