Accelerated Quality Education for Liberian Children is an USAID-funded activity that works with the Liberian MoE. The project’s activities provide relevant, flexible, and quality educational opportunities to children, giving them the opportunity to pursue additional education or training. The activity aims to strengthen the policies, systems, and resources that are available to the MoE, particularly in the area of accelerated education. AQE seeks to foster positive gender norms, including a highlighted attention on girls and female teachers. Finally, the project hopes to promote stability during a critical transition in a post-war and post-Ebola Liberia by engaging out-of-school children in activities that advance conflict resolution and key life skills.
