Deficit Owls | "Supply-Side Economics" Is Intellectual Garbage @deficitowls5296 | Uploaded September 2016 | Updated October 2024, 4 hours ago.
Professor L. Randall Wray discussing "supply-side economics." Supply-side economics is a blatant attempt to justify policies to further enrich the top 1%. The idea is that if you give more money to the rich, then they will buy more things, which will create more jobs. This is intellectual garbage. The measurable fact is that the rich save most of their income, so giving them more is not an effective way to create jobs, which is dependent on spending and investing that money into productive projects. Giving money to the rich is probably the least effective way to stimulate an economy, second only to not doing anything.
