Enemy ships do NOT target ground vehicles. While doing Overdrive Supply Request - you can land 5 km away from the wreck (yes, you are within the radar range, it matters not to the NPCs) and drive Ursa/Lynx/Centurion to the spot. You can either shoot the NPCs or avoid combat altogether and just pick the boxes. If you want to avoid combat - Drake Mule might be a better option.
