True color footage taken from the New York World's Fair on July 3, 1940 for "Superman Day". The video features the first person to ever officially appear in public as "Superman" (thought by many to be actor Ray Middleton, yet unconfirmed). Also shown in the footage is Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel, along with several other National (DC) Comics personnel from the era.
