We seem to be talking about AI a lot these days, as a society. Some issues are urgent right now, like the energy drain from huge data centers, impending unemployment surge, social media manipulation, and more. But that's not all! Did you know that superintelligent AI, which is currently under development, might murder all of us? Some people take this threat very seriously. Others do not. I personally think that we should take it quite seriously, and so does Andrea Miotti, CEO of ControlAI, a non-profit organization working towards achieving a global ban on superintelligent AI. Let's chat with Andrea about why the threat is credible and what we can do about it.
