The second film in the new DCU is here and it's complicated. Supergirl, directed by Craig Gillespie, stars Milly Alcock and is essentially recreating every issue comic book films have had for the past two decades. It isn't the worst superhero film ever, but I have many thoughts on how this film misses the mark and makes me less excited for future films within James Guns's universe.
