A high resolution supercell thunderstorm simulation that focuses on the Streamwise Vorticity Current (feature to left, in red/yellow). The SVC is made up of rain-cooled air near the ground that is drawn into the storm's updraft and is believed to be a crucial part in maintaining an unusually strong storm. Credit: Leigh Orft
