Defeat as many other tops as you can before they knock you out! Keep your RPM high! It is both your health and your damage multiplier.
As long as your RPM stays above 60, you're safe.
You can spin up to gain RPM, but it will slow you down. Moving slowly increases damage taken from tops MASSIVELY.
The same rules apply to them though.
Outmaneuver them and hit them when they're going slow to win trades.
