The original Dragon Ball Super anime made Super Saiyan God redundant after the Battle of Arc, but the new Dragon Ball Super Beerus trailer sows us Goku uses SSG in Frieza arc. So the remake is giving God Goku the shine he never truly got in the OG but some think he did get in the Manga.
