Yes, it is spelled "Gandor". As in an anagram of "Dragon".
This battleship is your main one throughout the Earth chapter (the first arc), even in the few scenes where the Elshank is around and the three stages where the Nadesico is, but it's a good one. A bit needy in the energy department, but the Gandor-hou is a goddamn powerful cannon.
Too bad it blows up in the Galaxy (third) arc, its nuclear reactor finally going critical and exploding (unlike in the show, it overtaxed itself and ran past the 183 day limit). Hazuki's not a bad pilot either.
Oh, I left that first strike in as well to point out the last mission of the Earth arc is SCARY. Unmoving battleship and a guy who can do that to maxed armor and multiple Hybrids (and I think an Alloy Z)? Yeesh. And this is AFTER you kill the Devil Gundam and Master Asia.
