When the folks at Japan Ponycon reached out to me to write a song for their album Japan Pony Party, I immediately started thinking about how it should go. In that process, I began missing how it felt to be there— but less in simply remembering a good time, and more almost in a way of being homesick? I wanted to capture both the joyful feelings I had from exploring Tokyo with my friends, and the sorrow of that first farewell.

Ive recently become very captivated with previous waves and trends in eurobeat production, from its earliest days as essentially Italo Disco to when it became a bit more influenced by techno, trance, and the kinds of music one would hear in Japanese discotheques and raves.
