I CFW'd my Switch a few days ago, and I decided to make this because no one's apparently done it yet. The patch works best with your Switch CPU slightly overclocked - around 1.2 GHz (handheld) / 1.4 GHz (docked) should be fine. Video footage is captured on real hardware, so excuse my poor capture quality. :p

By default, this version of the game is configured to VSync every 2nd frame, which effectively caps the game to 30 FPS. The devs also apparently forgot to change Unity's FixedUpdate rate to match the target frame rate, and so every version of the game has this apparent stuttering while in motion. Unity's default rate is 20ms (which would be fine if you were targetting 50 FPS instead).

The patch simply alters the VSync setting to do its thing normally and let the game run (as fast as the Switch could) at 60 FPS, and alters the update rate to 8.33ms (was 16.67ms at the time of recording), which makes the game run a LOT smoother.... well, except during battles where the frame rate can really fluctuate, even while the Switch is overclocked.
