This and the prequel, as well as their combined Deluxe step brother, had these things called play points. After every solo run through of story or challenge mode, you get a varying amount of play points handed to you on a completely black screen with a small text box on the bottom. All while this tune plays.

So what do play points do? They unlock party games of course! 2500 points a pop. But after unlocking all of them, you get to use these points to unlock the "excellent" story cutscenes (whose music will make up the bulk of what's left of this soundtrack), the credits game, and most importantly, more lives for challenge mode.

Monkey Ball 1 was sorta like this, but you unlocked more continues up until 9, again for 2500 points a pop. Buy another continue and you get an infinite amount of them. After that they're useless.

SEGA owns those suicidal monkeys. Amusement Vision helped make the game too.
