videogameclipcollect | Super Metroid - Phantoon's visual effects (60 fps) @videogameclipcollect | Uploaded July 2015 | Updated October 2024, 2 minutes ago.
In the battle against Phantoon (the boss of the "Wrecked Ship" in Super Metroid), the game uses some interesting visual effects when he first appears, and when he's defeated. These effects only appear for a few seconds.
It turns out that you can use the X-Ray Visor to make these effects stay on-screen for as long as you want.
It's a pointless trick, but still somewhat interesting, as this seems to be the only part of the game that uses this effect.
View at 720p to watch at 60 fps.
Note that the HD version of the video was upscaled from 480i.
