When Nintendo brought the Metroid series to the Super Nintendo, it was a grand statement. The 16-bit hit was a critical breakthrough, one that evolved the series and brought about an entire sub-genre of games. Time for me to finally experience Super Metroid for the first time and explore its mastery of delivering reward for the player.
