The various Marisa titles created by Double Cluster have been fairly memetic in the Touhou fandom since their creation. As I already did a Let's Play of Mega Mari, I figured that it would be interesting to return to the even more difficult Super Marisa World, which is full of Super Mario references in its bosses.
However, I still have PTSD from playing through the game years ago, so I convinced three members of the Bakashop Quartet to do a blind race of the game with some assistance from me.
Will there be a winner? Or will there just be survivors?
Or will there be any survivors?

Time for my first seed of a new Randomizer from a game that I thought I knew more than I did. So yeah, theres a lot of salt.
But thats more entertainment for you guys.
Be warned, though, this ones long.
It also starts off with those who joined in co-comms also rolling and running their own seeds, but recording ran so long that they moved on to other projects, so theres some unusual overlap. But I dont mind as this would have had a lot of empty commentary otherwise.

Lots of exposition as, after we get what we need, were called back to base in order to meet up with the Holy Knights and get an update on the overall search party. Turns out theres still one missing, but we arent concerned about that in order to simply continue to proceed onward.
After all that talking, I could use a good swim.

The things I have to do in order to come up with title puns on episodes that are all combat and little, if any plot.
But the fun part does come from engaging in pure combat as we steadily make our way up through the first part of the Blooded Blight and even have a cutscene in a spot that wasnt in Yunicas route-
Oh, wait, I end the video there because the next one would have been too short otherwise.

Emilio may complain in the beginning, but the route as a whole is another nicely insightful one as he gains some life lessons from his partner and we learn a bit more about the pain that Mihee is carrying. Thankfully, its a happy end overall.
I decide during this run that Emilio is easily the most versatile character in the game as, while he doesnt specialize in anything, hes still good at basically everything if you know how to use him. As such, Mihee doesnt get a lot of action.

It actually looks like I know what Im doing for a bit when it comes to the Blue Tower, mainly because of a stupid mistake thats shown in a bonus video that will go up later. But both the Blue and Green Towers dont take long to explore, especially since there arent any boss fights in either.
Hopefully that momentum will continue.

Its the classic Idealism vs. Cynicism trope in action as Kohtaro and Batus beliefs on how to deal with their enemies clash, but at least one side grows to understand the others point of view a little bit.
However, an ominous prophesy appears at the forefront in the middle of the run...
Batu can cover for Kohtaros regular shots not doing as much damage to bosses while at Max Tension but, otherwise, its pretty much all Koh.
As for what happens after that ending? Afraid well never know because we never got another entry in the series.

So it turns out our other main character wakes up in front of the other Roda tree.
Were introduced to Hugo, the magical prodigy and heir to House Fact, and he has the skills to back up his claims especially as he plays very much like a shooting game character.
After our introductions and tutorial battles, we get our usual exposition prior to entering the tower for the first time.

Yukaris not talking about the software in that thumbnail, by the way.
In terms of gameplay, Kohtaro and Fumiko pair up quite well as they can cover for each others weaknesses quite well.
In terms of the story, get ready for hilarity as our poor protagonist once again learns the meaning of pain courtesy of being the games butt monkey in nearly every scenario that isnt his own.

Even though were one member short of a full party, we can complete the Dragon Eqq side quest and gain all three wishes even if it means wishing for the same item multiple times.
Seriously, the Might Shield is really the only one thats fully worth it every time, but getting that Might Bow earlier didnt present any problems either.
And, again, dont make the same mistake I did: Remember to re-equip M.D.s weapon after losing Dual Blade!
