An interesting glitch from SMW. I was told it was "easy" to get extra lives by bouncing on Wigglers, so I went to see just how "easy" it is. In fact, it's not easy at all.
The glitch occurs because you can bounce as many times as you want on Wigglers. Each extra bounce doesn't count to add to your 1-up counter, but it doesn't reset it either, since you never land. You do get points for landing on a yellow Wiggler, and in fact, since they're coded differently (hitting with a star gives a 2-up, remember), they cause weird bugs.
If you hit a Wiggler at the right time, you can get a 2-up, or even a 5-up (which shows with glitched graphics). Past that, you get a weird thing that gives you a random amount of coins (seen in the video). It seems to give anywhere from 10ish to 250 coins, and may in fact just be a random 00-FF. But why this occurs, I can't say.
This video was recorded with slowdown, frame-by-frame, and savestates. So no, I don't play this good, and no, this isn't easy to do. After the two goombas died, I sort of just messed around too.
