For whatever reason this is the song I remember most from playing this game growing up. So when I decided I'd try something from a Mario game before the 64, this was an easy choice.
I had considered doing the main theme/level 1 theme/overworld theme/whateveryouwannacallittheme, but I wanted to do something a bit different. Although, like with other mario games, a lot of the songs are remixes of the main theme, this being no exception. It amazes me that I never realize this until I actually go to cover a song/ look at them more closely.
