Thanks to Bubzia for letting me watch and record his stream during this run. I also asked him to give me a number from 8 to 16 when I was in C7, and did that many breakdances (he said 12).
Even after around 2 weeks of practice, this run still pushed me to my physical limits. I will need several days of recovery before I can consider a runback of this category.
I ended up so exhausted that I promised myself I would quit this run if I died one more time in B3. Apparently, that last-stand determination was enough to clutch out the climb.

Not that crazy. You can framewalk onto the star platform from the left or the right, I didnt test the right cause its kinda far away.

This strat has been made obsolete by a much more simple and lenient variation - you can just fly through a wall gap at 0:31. This newer cheese also allows players to easily collect the wallkick tunnel star, the shell star, the cone star, or the cubes star, or to skip straight to the crossovers for the crossover star.
Done with Mupen lag and with Stroop open, but without savestates. This recording is a Mupen replay of my successful attempt.
I believe that this is the easiest ending cheese, although the very end appears to be scary.
