Welcome! In this video series, we'll be playing through Mario's vacation clean-up adventure Super Mario Sunshine! Make no mistake though, this is no watered down Mario game! While the game does take away some of the freedom of Mario 64 by making you do Shines sequentially (instead of finding them wherever), there's still plenty to explore and do in the follow-up game! You play as Mario as he is tasked with cleaning up Isle Delfino and is given a water pack named FLUDD, who can help extend your jumps with water jets and rockets, and help find Shines to return Isle Delfino back to it's glory!
This video walkthrough will show you how to conquer all 9 worlds and hubs, find all 240 Blue Coins and nab all 120 shines! Each world will be split into three videos (aside from the final world and Delfino Airstrip): one for the Shines (including hidden shines, which most worlds have 2), one for the Blue Coins and one for the 100 coin shine. By using this walkthrough, you'll be able to 100% this game and restore the beauty of Isle Delfino! Keep in mind that the blue coin shines are added to the total of Delfino Plaza, not the worlds you find them in.
In the thirteenth part, we make our way to Pinna Park where a midgame revelation occurs! To unlock it, you'll have to collect 10 Shines total and unlock the previous two levels (Gelato Beach and Ricco Harbor). You'll know when you unlock it as Shadow Mario will take Peach again. After completing Episode 4 of this level, you will finally unlock Yoshi which you can use to unlock the Nozzles in Delfino Plaza and several Shines/Blue Coins in every previous level. The Secret Shines are located in Episode 2 and Episode 6. Both of them are Red Coin challenges in secret areas.
