Just yesterday, on the Game Boy's 30th anniversary, a new, much higher quality full color hack was released for Super Mario Land! The game is now fully colorized, and uses the fullest extent of the Game Boy Color's power compared to previous hacks' attempts.
Sprites have been redesigned to be more easy to read on a Game Boy screen and closer to Mario's design sensibilities of the era, while still having plenty of color and life.

Please note that you will need the 1.0 version of the game in order to patch it as of the time of this video getting posted.
Additionally, this video was recorded using the very first version of the hack, before any potential bugs that may have cropped up were fixed--the link will contain the most up-to-date version, so if something strikes you as odd, be sure to give it a shot yourself first!
