I haven't seen this commercial in 60FPS, so I thought I'd upload it.
Being that LDs were an expensive luxury to own in the early-1990s, especially in Japan, its sort of interesting that the producers of this catalog video went the extra mile to get something like this released on LD. I guess video games were really serious business in Japan.

This is a re-upload of the Resident Evil CSG 1996 footage I uploaded in 2012, but at a higher frame-rate and quality. We can actually see some of the live-action cutscenes in more fluid motion now. I said this before in 2012 and Ill say it again. What a simple, primitive, colorful time for games.
This trailer of Bio Hazard was originally included on the December 1995 PlayStation version of Street Fighter Zero, but updated for this VHS tape with certain scenes replaced with more recent footage of a later build of the game. The differences extend beyond just higher quality, and the games live-action scenes in a clearer, full frame-rate. As it was just pointed to me via Ridley, every scene with green blood was replaced for new red blood footage. They removed Jills awful CG model in Neptunes scene and they also included some takes of the Grenade Launcher[...] not present in the original build, where they recorded the old footage from. A provisional version of the inappropriately catchy Japanese theme song Yume de Owarasenai, can be heard too.
This trailer comes from a VHS tape I bought from an eBay seller in Japan called CSG TV-Game Collection 96 that contains trailers from lots of old Japanese Super Famicom, Sony PlayStation, Sega Saturn, NeoGeo CD, PC-FX (and I think, 3DO) games from that era of gaming. The games featured come from many various Japanese game developers that you can probably think of, including Capcom, Sega, Konami, NEC, MediaWorks, Game Arts, Takara, Tomy, and much, much more.
