I can't believe I pulled off 5-2 FPG on the first run I ever got there. Shoutouts to Kingof_JohhnyBoy for teaching me about 5-2 FPG to make this run possible! Unfortunately, I got lag frames in 5-2 so that lost a little over .1 seconds. That would likely be the next time-save in this category is finding a framerule that doesn't give lag frames after doing the 5-2 fpg setup. Either way this run is rediculous and when the record was last improved in December 2018 neither GTAce or I thought it could go any further besides a fast accel in 5-4. This run is much better! Managed to keep fire the whole way (with a gold split 2-5 which was crazy good) and did 4-2 wall-jump! Only major timeless was in 3-3 due to bad cheep patterns slowing me down. I will leave the time here unless I happen to be on a good pace when trying to improve warpless. This completes my sweep of the 10 lives category world records! The run starts on attempt 136. I kept the start of 135 in for the funny conversation that started just before the record. This run requires a good amount of technical knowledge that I didnt know about before I started attempting this. There is still time to save in 1-2 either by getting the wallclip first try or if you can do the 1-2 clip with small mario that would save a lot more time but the subpixels would be tricky to line up so idk how viable that would be but I kinda want to try it out. The trick to get the Koopa to float midair in 1-2 was the one that killed almost every attempt and is frustratingly frame perfect. Its finally Over! I finally saved the last framerule left in this category! I have in total gotten to the end stairs to attempt the final trick 30 times on this pace. It was very relieving to finally accomplish this. Only timesaves remaining with this route are to either do a perfect fast accel to save 2 frames or to purposefully fall off the koopa at the end on the final 1UP needed to save 5 frames of time. Hopefully, I wont ever need to do that and am pretty happy to have killed this category... at least with these strats.
