Yes, this is the same hack that I made a one video of some time ago. I made it that time because it was in development but...
Well, technically it still is, but it's been halted since this latest version (released in April 27th, 2023) for whatever reason this guy had. So I might as well play what we have so far before any update notice comes out. Yes, the whole game this time.
Anyway, this hack (again, in development) is an improvement to the original SMB3, adding features that made its way in different Mario games, like:
- Play as any of the 4 characters available with their skills, like in Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA).
- Replay any course that has been cleared, including fortresses like in Super Mario World. Oh, but not the airships.
-And like in Super Mario World, it is possible to leave any cleared course when replaying it. And also keep the power-ups obtained after leaving!
- Each character keeps the power-up they have, so you can make one character be in Raccoon, while other be in Fire, and so on. This, I think it was present in the GBA version of SMB3 (Super Mario Advance 4).
Nice, isn't it? And again, this hack is in development, so who knows what more can be added to make it even better.
Anyway, this is a full run of this hack, but I decided not to get into regular Toad Houses, but the hidden ones (available after getting a certain amount of coins in select courses of each world except the last one). I also decided not to play the N-Spade memory game, but I did summon the wandering treasure ships of their respective worlds. All of that while trying not to die a lot. But you'll see...
And that's about it... Now, you want to play this hack, I'm pretty sure of that.
So... There is a download link, but you have to get it from the author's archive.org page and follow the instructions attached.
