"This mod makes bosses more difficult. It adds new attacks and adjustments to every boss in the game. Also includes changes to NPCs, such as Toad, Mips, Bob-Omb Buddy, and more. Expect other secrets too...
While this is compatible with rom hacks, you'll have to play in vanilla to experience all of the secret content. Also comes with a /reshuffle command for rom hacks, in case Toad or Tuxie become unreachable.
EDIT: As if this update, Character Select versions below v1.16.4 are no longer supported. v1.16.4 can be obtained in an in-dev state from the GitHub

***v2.0: Big Bad Boss Update***
I had to hurry up and make this update because one of the bosses became inaccessible. There's also been many adjustments to existing bosses, as well as some additional content:
Mod now yells at you if you use v1.16.3 of Character Select or lower. To use the mod with Character Select, you will need the in-dev v1.16.4 version on the GitHub

All shockwaves now move at double speed, but also won't hit you during invulnerability frames.
A large metal enemy was changed to have new behavior.
King Bob-Omb: Bomb attack now looks nicer, changed some hitboxes, fixed some problems with grabbing and some syncing issues
Bowser: Various changes. Fixed the teleport attack being undodgeable in some scenarios.
Big Bully: Now recovers properly in situations where it falls far below its home.
Eyerok: Completely reworked. Should be less aggravating now.
Wiggler: Completely reworked. Should be more aggravating now.
Rainbow Ride: Surprise new content added!
A thief character was made easier to dodge and now loudly announces what he stole (A questionable strategy...)
A "bigoted" character has gotten better contacts and should recognize his species better, even if Character Select is enabled.
A fight with a chatty character was reworked, and should be a little more difficult now.
Characters in a certain quest now have some new things they can say.
A bird character no longer leaves fire permanently in the level.
A bird character now remembers your sins and can be refought without redoing some favors.
A green character now activates properly.
A dark enemy had many changes. Its wind attack was replaced with a fire attack.
A superpowered version of the dark enemy was added as late-game content. After finding some other secrets, look around the Grounds for something new...
