WOOOOO we're starting off the N64 album with a BANG fam :D
The lady picked this song since it's her favorite childhood game, and I think it was a great choice. When I was picking a genre for Koopa's Road, I wanted something energetic but also epic/evil sounding. This is my first Complextro song, (a wubby sub-genre of Electro House) and I really like how it turned out! I tried to sort of tell a story with the in game sound effects, starting with the evil foreboding Bowser laugh and ending with the triumphant defeat. The intrinsic nature of complextro lent itself to the choppy syncopation of the lead and chords. In short, feelsgoodman.

This was supposed to a Melee remix...but I just felt Chrono Trigger flowing through my veins. It honestly came out way faster than I expected, with pretty great results! Is it just me or are these remixes getting funkier? Anyway, I had a lot of fun with this one, and theres a stream documenting most of the creation process for this too. This also happens to be my Dads favorite VGM song, so Im glad I finally got to it. When listening, youll notice that the arpeggio motif in the beginning stays until the end, and the whole thing is a loop-able piece, try it!

This song was quite intimidating to remix at first. Ive never played this game so I wasnt familiar with it initially either. Theres a lot going on, and its normally in a slow rock genre that I am not used to. Aninymouse said they wanted it to be high energy though, so that got me thinkin somethin faster paced might work. Drum, and, BASS baby. Once I got the ball rollin it just flew out of my fingertips like butter. like BUTTAH. The crisp bass and the crisp drums really make this a tight little diddle. I hope you have as much fun listening as I did mixing!
