Hopefully this saves a second or two in the 150 Star TAS :D Also, this star could now be collected in an 80 Star TAS, though this trick is too hard for RTA. Would be cool to see in an IL :P
To do this you need to slidekick at the right angle at the corner. Then you will start sliding down the wall, and you need to do a small jump and then a dive to reach the star.
By diving later it is also possible to land in the water, and from there swim into the cannon, even if it's not opened, or just in the air for fun.
