I have now officially handed off Castlemania, directly to Way of the Hero, and then directly to the Mario marathon! Gotta be a record, in fact I don't think Way of the Hero and Castlemania intersected in the past, and no, I don't count Castlemania Prelude. ... anyway, Super Mario 3D Land! A game that, upon review, I was initially skeptical of and later excited for the more I saw of it. And I did in fact like it on first playthrough! Maybe it was after 3D World I didn't think much of this until a replay.
I had initially intended to go all the way to 100% completion with this, then decided mid-stream just to stop after credits. Turns out that was the right call as the emulation was not perfect and apparently refused to load into the game again. Oops. Ah well. Still a good game!
