This is a video of a ROM text hack I started a long time ago. It's called Super Koopa RPG. The original game was called Super Mario RPG and was released by Nintendo for the Super NES. It's a top-notch RPG and is worth playing unmodified if you haven't already. It's also available on the Virtual Console. Help show Nintendo that the Super Mario RPG IP is profitable by purchasing the VC release. Here's also a few notes concerning this ROM hack:
First off, I do not have an exact date of when I first started the project, but I can safely say it was well over a year ago. I really wish I had kept date logs, but I never thought I'd be doing something like this so it never occured to me that it'd be all that important.
Second, the hack isn't finished at the time of this video's making. I'd say it's about... %30 or %40 percent completed, which isn't all that far. What this means is that I wouldn't be putting up a full video series of the hack. What will probably happen is just this one video and it's companion being put up, then I'll gradually put up more as the game becomes more complete. Or I might just put these two video up and see if anybody is actually interested in it.
Third, this is not my first attempt at rom-hacking. I actually started out on Super Mario World and later moved onto Super Mario RPG. I actually have a completed hack of Super Mario World but the last time I was working on it, I was trying to add new things to the essentially completed project. I should really close it up and release it as is.
Most of the other details of Super Koopa RPG were documented in the Readme file I made for it. Such as the goal of the hack, the basic story and other things. I'm probably gonna throw a link to the file up on YouTube for you all to see eventually.
