Sunsmasher formed in 2010 drawing members from the Scottish Grind, Crust and Hardcore scenes with the notion of creating claustrophobic, intense and violent music. Their 2011 self-released debut demo 'Mammothian/Loud/Cult' was well received and Sunsmasher soon found themselves sharing the stage with acts such as Conan, Dragged Into Sunlight, Monarch and Wormrot. Sunsmasher immediately established themselves as a titanic live experience, with their sound drawing influences from bands such as Electric Wizard, Swans, Iron Monkey, Doom many more. After lineup changes in 2012 and 2013, Sunsmasher returned with a more Crust and Noise inspired sound. Their new EP 'Hell/Noise/Church' recorded with Kevin Hare (Black Sun) and mastered by James Plotkin (Khanate/O.L.D.) exhibits this fresh take on their extreme music.
